Fair Weather Friend. . .
Yesterday, Joe Wilcox was the unfortunate recipient of the Jackass of the Week (though not always given weekly) title by esteemed Mac blogger John Gruber with the following one-sentence snarky commentary, "With insight this deep it’s hard to believe Wilcox was laid off from eWeek."
Given this high regard for his analysis in this easy to misinterpret article "goading Steve Jobs to top himself", it's interesting that Gruber has cited Wilcox quite liberally in the past year, a few times glowingly. Quite interestingly, this isn't the first time Gruber changed his mind unexplained on a source. Of course a man is free to change his mind about things, but it says a lot if the change was not at the jerk of a knee.
As a postscript, Gruber was wrong over why Joe left eWeek.
