This is the abbreviated version as it appeared on the sidebar on February 24th, 2007. (Full and current version is linked here.) As I haven't written here very frequently, a few postings here and there have the ability to skew the results. This post could probably make "Vox Hunt" tag grow to dwarf the others in no time. None of the tags have more than say 12 items associated with it.

Taking note of what sticks out, surprisingly "Wonder Woman" is one of the larger tags. There's a grand total of one written post which is tagged that, and it was more of an aside to the main point. Actually, Wonder Woman apparent strength comes from the seven books I've purchased and read which are tagged. That brings up an interesting point. Very few people tag their books, or anything else on Vox (save for perhaps posts and videos, and for many the videos are only tagged because Vox automatically populates imported YouTube videos with the tags as set by the uploader on YouTube). This is something of a silent disaster, as as Vox's search functionality is completely dependent on tagging. If you search all of Vox for books with the phrase "Wonder Woman" you come to my seven. Title searches are pretty much useless here. Tagging is a poor substitute for a full text search as tagging is dependent on us being organized and proactive.

Animation is another large tag (seven written pieces, five items in the video collection), though is less surprising given my fondness (bordering on obsession) on cartoons, and the art form of animation (Pop art, but art nonetheless). I can't think of much to say, but that I am very willing to take this fondness to a scholarly pursuit.

I have too many to list. If I had to say, I grew up during the best times for television animation, the 1990s. Basically  you had a resurgence in the form, brought about by the critical and commercial success of the film "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". It basically brought back to life the Disney Feature Animation department. After Roger Rabbit, Steve Spielberg decided to produce animation for TV and teamed up with Warner Bros. That gave us Tiny Toons, followed by Animaniacs. Plus the launch of WB television animation department also gave us Bruce Timm's long running take on the DC Comic superhero universe through Batman, Superman, Justice League and various other spin offs and projects.

While this happened, Turner launched Cartoon Network, which gave a bunch of young talented artists the chance to take on the world. Seth McFarlane created a short -- "Larry and Steve" about a suave dog and his incredibly idiotic owner. Those two would evolve into Peter Griffin and Brian the dog of Family Guy. Likewise, over at Nickelodeon Viacom gave a chance to a rebel animator named John Kricfalusi and he created this wickedly subversive show, "Ren and Stimpy". These two networks helped nurture independent animators give life to their warped creations, and helped expand acceptable ideas for cartoons away from half-hour toy commercials.

Anyway, some of my favorite cartoons have been Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Gargoyles, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Batman:TAS, Superman:TAS, Justice League, Teen Titans, Courage the Cowardly Dog (videos I posted to earlier), Ed Edd n Eddy, and many others I can't think of right now.

Absolute opposite. She's even a girl, and I'm very concerned that girls are given or are taking the name "Wesley" as their own. Is there any male name they won't take?
